The Kakuyasu Group’s Fundamental Sustainability Policy

In February 2023, Kakuyasu Group stipulated its fundamental policy of sustainability.

The Kakuyasu Group is determined to respond to whatever requests customers may have. Based on this determination, the Group aims to solve environmental and social issues and help establish a sustainable society.

The Kakuyasu Group will undertake actions under this policy.

Accelerating Sustainability

Kakuyasu Group has established Sustainability Committee which is responsible for promoting the sustainability management of the entire group. The Sustainability Committee is chaired by the President and Representative Director. Its members are appointed from among the directors and executive officers of the Company and subsidiaries. Outside directors of Kakuyasu Group participate in the committee as observers. Sustainability Committee regularly reports to the Board of Directors.

The Committee has sub-committees that collaborate with relevant departments to take specific steps to address material sustainability issues.

The Committee determines sustainability policies and strategies and instructs the sub-committees and relevant departments on actions to be implemented. Sub-committees and relevant departments submit regular progress reports to the Committee, which provides necessary guidance to them. The Committee analyzes sustainability risks and opportunities and assesses all risk situations. It continuously monitors risk countermeasures. Information about risks that have significant impacts is shared with Kakuyasu Group’s  risk management committee. These risks are managed in the entire its risk management system.

The Board of Directors receives reports from the Committee and monitors the progress of activities and achievements of targets. It reviews policies and initiatives as needed.
